Stephen S. McCloskey

Stephen S. McCloskey is a principal and the chairperson of the Litigation Department. His practice focuses on the defense of civil litigation matters including construction litigation, premises liability, insurance defense, and insurance coverage. He regularly represents churches and religious organizations in the defense of personal injury claims. He has tried many cases to verdict and has extensive experience in both State and Federal courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

He is a member of the Supreme Court of Maryland’s Standing Committee on the Rules of Practice and Procedure (2019 – present). He has taught numerous courses on legal research, analysis, and writing.
